SUPER FUN SESSION AT THE CBBC THE PLAYLIST SHOW FILMING

We cannot thank the BBC filming crew enough for this absolute pleasure. We really did have the best time ever.

It’s been a little while since the last blog post but what better way to get it started back up again then telling you all about the styling Balloonista did for CBBC’s The Playlist Show 100th episode celebrations! The Playlist Show is a children’s entertainment and music program and they got in contact with us after seeing Balloonista’s Instagram account.

The show aired on Saturday 29th June 2019 at 8:40am (we’ve popped the link below) but we filmed a couple of weeks earlier on a rather wet Monday in a beautiful hall in Tunbridge Wells. The hall even before the styling had begun was absolutely incredible with large church like windows and a tall peaked roof, with visible rafters all painted white with neon blue lights above.

Setting up was so much fun and was a brilliant way to spend a Sunday. The décor was so colourful with balloon tassels everywhere, confetti balloons on the floor and tables and of course, giant pastel balloons! As it was their 100th episode celebration we went all out and created a beautiful giant decorative balloon backdrop (balloon wall), prepared a ton of supersized giant balloons with ribbons to mark the occasion. For the impressive instagramable balloon wall we had used all natural latex fully biodegradable best quality balloons. Clients’ brief was to create an amazing balloon décor matching The Playlist Show’s Logo therefore to achieve that we mixed the most stunning marble effect balloons with custom created pastel pinks and pastel blues, bold pinks and purples with the occasional white and aqua coloured balloons.

If that wasn’t enough there were disco balls, doughnuts, sweets and the most stunning fun cake we have ever seen which was also covered in candy canes, lollipops, hundreds and thousand sprinkles with rainbow cupcakes (the odd glitter ball thrown in for good measure) and a 100 glitter cake topper to finish off the masterpiece.

@lookingforlewys shared some unique moves (Video courtesy of @theplaylistshow) what looked like an attempt to swim through the cloud of streamers, gifts and giant balloons. He even managed to find himself a cake large enough to fit him inside which meant “celebrity cake surprise” was an “icing on the cake” at the end of the day!

We held a Easter partner party in office last month and had the pleasure of Annalisa & team decorating our office with branded colourful pastel balloons and demi arch which our team and guests absolutely loved. I can't say enough good things about Balloonista. This company is top notch. I organized a balloon arch, light up numbers, and balloon orbs for a surprise birthday at the Arsenal stadium in London all while communicating from the United States. I couldn't believe we pulled it off with the different time zones. Not to mention, I was asking a HUGE favor by reaching out only a few days before hand, but they were still able to pull it off...beyond my expectations! If it wasn't for Annalisa, there's no way I could have got this done in such short notice with any other company. She correlated with the Stadium due to my time difference and really made it easy for me. She was able to send over everything we needed for approval in a timely matter!
