Looking for a hands-on, creative role that’s different every day? At Balloonista, we’re hiring workshop and events crew who don’t just “help out” — they own what they do. We create premium balloon installations and gifts across London, and we’re looking for someone who brings energy, pride and a growth mindset to every part of the process.

📍 The Role

Based in Orpington (BR5 3QY) and travelling during paid hours, this is a flexible, physical and creative role. Some days you’ll be prepping displays or gifts in our HQ, others you’ll be out installing bespoke balloon décor for high-end events, hotels, and private homes.

You’ll work independently and as part of a small, tight-knit team – depending on the job.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing balloon bouquets and balloon installations such as arches, columns and moongate arches (which will be prepared in our office and then built onsite)
  • Loading/unloading deliveries with care and pride
  • Delivering gifts and setups across London
  • Installing décor at 5-star venues and VIP locations
  • Cleaning, packing and organising the workspace
  • Problem-solving on the spot with clients and the team
  • Representing the Balloonista brand with kindness, calm, and style

🎯 What We’re Looking For

  • Sees what needs doing and gets on with it
  • Is proud of doing every job properly, no matter how small
  • Is confident speaking to anyone – clients, concierges, or CEOs
  • Can lift and move heavy items safely (some setups are physical!)
  • Stays calm when things go wrong, then helps fix them
  • Brings creativity into everyday tasks
  • Isn’t scared of long days, early starts, or last-minute changes
  • Believes in kindness, clarity, and getting things done

Non-negotiables:

  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Punctual, positive and reliable
  • Based within easy access to BR5 / Orpington
  • Available for early mornings, weekends, and some long days
  • Clear spoken English & confident communication
  • Possession of a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or willingness to undergo the DBS application process

Bonus if you have:

  • Balloon or floristry experience
  • Background in events, theatre, retail or hospitality
  • DIY skills, Canva/G-Suite knowledge, basic AI awareness
  • Luxury client experience (or confident professionalism)
